Al Wathba Wetland Reserve to reopen on January 1

Al Wathba Wetland Reserve will reopen to visitors from January 1st with the COVID-19 regulations in place.

One of the first natural reserves in Abu Dhabi, the site will welcome visitors from Tuesday to Saturday every week between 8 am- 6 pm without any entry fee.

The reserve is home to more than 260 migratory bird species, including its star attraction the Greater Flamingo, as well as some 230 species of invertebrates, 11 mammals, 10 reptiles, and 35 plant species. 

The reserve also includes a visitor centre, a Bird Hide and a viewing platform.
