Abu Dhabi's road toll system is now in effect after a free trial period.
The four toll gates are located at Sheikh Zayed, Maqta, Mussaffah and Sheikh Khalifa bridges.
Those whose cars are registered in the capital will automatically be put into the system while motorists from other emirates have to register online.
Motorists will only be charged AED 4 to cross the gates during rush hour between 7:00 am-9:00 am and 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, from Saturday to Thursday.
The maximum amount charged per day for a vehicle is AED 16 and AED 200 per month.
The road tolls were set to be introduced from October 15 but were delayed until the New Year.
