UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday, focusing on bilateral cooperation and the latest developments in the Ukraine conflict.
During the phone call, the two leaders discussed strengthening ties under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and Ukraine, as well as the humanitarian impact of the war.
President Zelenskyy thanked the UAE for its continued diplomatic efforts to facilitate prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine, and for its ongoing humanitarian support.
The two leaders also discussed regional and international developments, stressing the importance of continued efforts to promote peace, security and stability.
