Abu Dhabi has carried out 48,383 disinfection operations to sanitize ambulance vehicles transporting COVID-19 patients.

That’s according to the department dealing with Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) substances at Abu Dhabi Police.

A sterilization centre has been set up by the police force’s Public Safety and Emergency Services in the capital, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), behind Al Mafraq hospital.

People operating the vehicles and assisting those infected with the coronavirus have also been disinfected in order to ensure their safety and well-being.

The initiative aims to ensure that vehicles transporting confirmed and suspected cases of the virus are safe to use once again in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
