Public parking slots and toll gates in Abu Dhabi will be free of charge on Friday as the country marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
According to the Integrated Transport Authority (ITC), motorists will not have to pay the charges from Friday, September 29, until 7:59 am on Saturday, September 30.
It also applies to M-18 truck parking lot in Musaffah area.
The ITC also reminded drivers to avoid parking in prohibited areas and residential parking spaces from 9:00 pm until 8:00 am.
The authority added that toll gate charges will resume on Saturday, September 30, during the regular peak hours (from 07:00 am to 09:00 am and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm).
Meanwhile, public buses will operate according to the regular holiday schedule, while the ITC's Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on the holiday.
