One dead as powerful quake rocks Croatia's capital

A strong earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale struck Croatia's capital Zagreb on Sunday.

The tremors caused widespread damage and panic, with health officials reporting the death of a 15-year-old.

According to European seismological agency (EMSC), it struck at 6:23 am (0523 GMT) Sunday, with the epicenter 7 km north of Zagreb at a depth of 10km.
