India has extended the suspension of domestic flight operations until April 14.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued the latest directive in order to comply with the 21-day lockdown which is being observed in the country.

The government had initially banned passenger flights on domestic routes from March 25 to March 31.

International flights in and out of India were already halted till April 15 before the lockdown was announced.

All airports in the country will remain operational during this period to help with medical charter flights, evacuations and other emergency situations.
