HANDOUT / INDO-TIBETAN BORDER POLICE (ITBP) / AFP

India recorded a spike in coronavirus cases on Wednesday, after 15 Italian tourists tested positive in the country.

According to New Delhi's health minister, an Indian national, who travelled with Italian nationals, also tested positive for the flu-like virus.

It takes the total number of cases to 28 over the last three days.

Authorities will now "screen all international passengers" in a bid to contain the spread of the virus.
