Dubai+ unveiled as new family-focused digital media platform

Dubai Media Office

Dubai Media has announced the launch of Dubai+, a digital platform offering a wide range of family-friendly media content, reflecting changing viewing habits and the continued growth of Dubai’s media sector.

The platform was approved during the first Dubai Media Council meeting of 2026, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Dubai+ is designed as an integrated digital media ecosystem, featuring a diverse selection of local, Arab and international series and films, and supporting Dubai’s role as a regional centre for creative content production and distribution.

The meeting also reviewed plans to boost local production and promote cinema as a cultural and creative industry, with upcoming initiatives aimed at supporting filmmakers, investing in creative growth, and showcasing Emirati and international talent.

Council members also discussed the upcoming UAE–Kuwait Media Celebration, organised by the Dubai Press Club, which aims to strengthen Arab media cooperation and build on the long-standing fraternal ties between the two countries.

In addition, the meeting reviewed national and community campaigns led by Brand Dubai during 2025, including the #ZayedAndRashid campaign and the Hatta Winter initiative under #DubaiDestinations.

On the sidelines, Sheikh Ahmed was briefed on advanced external broadcast technologies being introduced by Dubai Media, including systems appearing in the Middle East for the first time.
