The USA and China have agreed to hold more trade talks.
According to Vice Premier Liu He, the discussions will take place in Beijing.
The development comes as US President Donald Trump instructed his trade chief to begin imposing tariffs on all remaining imports from China.
On Friday the trade war between the two countries taken up a notch when the US announced that it will double tariffs on AED 734.5 billion ($200 billion) worth of Chinese products with taxes on those goods rising 25% from 10%.
Beijing has vowed to retaliate to the new measures.
