Police in Sharjah have settled more than 2,200 financial disputes so far this year.

They've returned around AED 115 million back to residents in the emirate as part of their Reconciliation is Good’ initiative.

It's aimed at giving people in Sharjah a chance to settle financial disputes in a friendly manner without having to go to court.

“The results were positive as parties pay the money to the creditors in police stations or give a chance for them to settle the disputes in a friendly manner, away from courtrooms,” said Brigadier Khalifa Klandar, director of the Police Stations Department at Sharjah Police.
