The Dubai Free Zones Council, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, held its 33rd meeting to discuss key priorities aimed at boosting Dubai’s business environment.
The agenda focused on strengthening government cooperation, enhancing regulatory readiness, and improving investor experience across free zones.
The Council explored ways to streamline procedures and integrate efforts for greater ease of doing business.
Initiatives such as the ‘Events Visa’ and the deployment of dedicated staff to accelerate transactions were highlighted as major enablers of business continuity.
The Council also reviewed plans for a unified platform to connect all free zones, supporting efficiency and competitiveness. Discussions included the Dubai Cashless Strategy, reinforcing the emirate’s push toward a fully digital payment ecosystem.
Additionally, steps to strengthen compliance and align with global standards were addressed, including measures to simplify bank account openings for licensed companies and reduce associated risks.
These efforts aim to enhance institutional cooperation and maintain Dubai’s position as a leading hub for investment and innovation.
