Thank you to all of the those that signed up for the first Farmer’s Kitchen Masterclass presented by Spinneys. Our 10 winners have now been selected but that doesn’t mean you still can’t take part. The Masterclass will be streamed live on Facebook on Friday 1st May at 12pm. You will get the chance to cook-a-long with our friends at the Bebemos Bar de Tapas at the Le Meridien DUBAI Hotel and Conference Centre to create a delicious Paella in our Paella Party. 

The Masterclass will be hosted by Helen Farmer and Chef Marc Mañosa, who has spent his formative years of his culinary journey working across Barcelona's best restaurants, expressing the city's unique vibe in his culinary creations.  

To make the paella, you will need the following ingredients. You can either choose to make the vegetable version or the meat version which is with chicken.

VEGETABLE PAELLA

  • 400 grams of rice bomba or carnaroli
  • 2 onions
  • 1 red pepper
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 200 grams of grated tomato
  • 8 green asparagus
  • Olive oil
  • 200 grams of mixed mushrooms
  • 1 zucchini 
  • 2 litres of vegetable stock

 For the vegetable stock: 

  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic 
  • 2 carrotss
  • 1 leek
  • 1 stick of celery 
  • 4 litres of water
  • sweet paprika

CHICKEN PAELLA

  • 400 grams of Rice bomba or carnaroli
  • 400 grams of chicken with bone cut small
  • 4 clovess of garlic
  • 500 grams of grated tomatoes
  • Saffron 
  • Sweet paprika
  • Olive oil
  • Green beans
  • Artichokes
  • 2.5 litres of Chicken stock
  • Lemon 

For the chicken stock: 

  • 2 Onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic 
  • 2 carrots
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 kg of Chicken on the bone, cut small
  • 4 litres of waters

 Make sure you have all of the ingredients ready to go and you will need a large skillet pan to cook the paella in. Tune in to Dubai Eye FB page on Friday at 12pm to cook live with us.
