Clarence Seedorf has been fired as Cameroon's coach after his side weren't able to defend their Africa Cup of Nations title.

The former Netherlands midfielder was in charge of the team for less than a year.

Seedorf's assistant Patrick Kluivert has also been sacked.

Cameroon crashed out of the tournament in the last 16, losing to Nigeria 3-2.

The result prompted the country's sports minister to call for Seedorf to be relinquished of his position.
