Premier League: Leicester draw thriller with West Brom, Chelsea beat Norwich

Premier League leaders, Leicester City, were held to a 2-2 draw by West Bromwich Albion in a thrilling game at the King Power Stadium. Claudio Ranieri’s men came from a goal down to lead 2-1 through Danny Drinkwater and Andy King, before being pegged back by Craig Gardner’s free-kick. The Foxes hit the bar twice as they searched for a winner, but were unable to repeat their last-minute heroics from the weekend. The draw extends their lead at the top of the table to three points, but they could be overtaken by Tottenham on goal difference tonight, should Spurs win at West Ham. Elsewhere last night, Sunderland climbed out of the bottom three after Fabio Borini’s superb 90th minute goal from rescued a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace. The forward picked the ball up on the right of the box and struck home from a tight angle. That result meant Norwich dropped into the relegation zone, after they went down 2-1 at home to Chelsea. The Young Brazilian, Kenedy, opened the scoring after just 39 seconds, before Diego Costa doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time, despite looking to be offside. Nathan Redmond pulled a goal back in the second-half, but the Canaries couldn’t find an equaliser. Meanwhile, Bournemouth won the south-coast derby with Southampton 2-0 thanks to goals from Steve Cook and Benik Afobe, and Aston Villa’s struggles continued – the bottom-side went down 3-1 at home to Everton. Funes Mori, Aaron Lennon and Romelu Lukaku put the visitors in command, and vast swathes of the home support had left in protest by the time Rudy Gestede got a consolation in the 79th minute.
