UEFA president Michel Platini still wants to succeed Sepp Blatter as FIFA president. Platini is currently serving a 90-day ban while corruption charges are being investigated, and claims he's being "dragged through the mud" by being associated with the corruption scandal. Speaking to French Paper Le Monde, Platini commented “what annoys me the most is being tarred with the same brush as the others.” The former France captain still intends to run in February's FIFA presidential election, and added that he believes he's the only man capable of turning the organisation around.
