Svitolina, Kvitová in action at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

The two-time defending champion Elina Svitolina is in action later Thursday.

Belinda Bencic is through to the quarter-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships after upsetting eighth seed Aryna Sabalenka on Wednesday night. The unseeded 21-year-old form Switzerland saved five match points on her way to wining in three sets.

Svitolina also booked her place in the last eight with a comfortable three-set win over Garbiñe Muguruza.

Fourth seed Karolína Plíšková takes on Hsieh Su-wei in the quarter-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Play from Centre Court gets underway at 2:00 pm. 

Meanwhile, 2013 winner and second seed Petra Kvitová is also in action. She's up against Viktória Kužmová of Serbia.

Third seed Simona Halep and two-time defending champion Elina Svitolina will also take to the court later Wednesday.
