India's PV Sindhu wins gold at Badminton World Championships

India's PV Sindhu has won a gold medal at the BWF World Championships.

She beat Nozomi Okuhara in straight sets to secure the women's singles title in Basel.

The 21-7, 21-7 victory makes her the first Indian woman to win the prestigious badminton tournament.

Sindhu, 24, now has a full set of medals at the World Championships, winning two bronze, two silver and now a gold medal.

She is also India's first female Olympic silver medallist.
