Dubai Games concludes seventh edition with crowning ceremony

The seventh edition of Dubai Games has concluded on Sunday with Ajman government securing the first place in the 'Battle of the Government' category.

Dubai Police team came in second place, while the Department of Digital Ajman team finished third.

The games are held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

In the women's category, the Ministry of Education took first place, followed by Dubai Health in second and Dubai Police securing third place.

In the 'Battle of the Community' categorgy, the competition was closely contested, with team F3 claiming first place and team NAS finishing second, while the Ajman Stud team secured third place.

Czarny Dunajec from Poland claimed the title for the 'Battle of the Cities' category, while Montreal from Canada took second place, and Moscow from Russia secured third. 

The final challenge, the 'Battle of the Juniors' category, saw the "OCR Empire" team secure first place, while the "Goldestoso Grabblers" team came in second, followed by the "Woodtopia" team in third.

Sheikh Hamdan congratulated the champions, stating that "the remarkable growth of Dubai Games over the years had earned it a place amongst the most anticipated events on the global sporting calendar, transforming its appeal beyond an innovative initiative into a global platform attracting high-calibre participation from around the world". 

Held from February 12 to February 15, the Dubai Games witnessed the participation of more than 1,600 athletes from 56 cities around the world, with a prize pool of over AED 4 million distributed between the winning teams.
