Dubai Basketball has marked its growing popularity in the UAE by hosting its first Family Day on Sunday, and marked celebrations with another ABA League victory against Bosnian side Igokea at Coca-Cola Arena.

The team remains top of the ABA League standings, following the 94:78 win infront of 4,900 fans, and is pushing for a EuroLeague play-off place. With key players returning to form and new names emerging in the line-up, attention now turns to the decisive second half of the 2025-26 season, as fans are urged to support the team at its remaining home games.

Ahead of the Sunday evening match, families and basketball enthusiasts took part in activities throughout the day, including a street court showcase by the Dubai Basketball Academy and meet-and-greet sessions with players Nate Mason, Davis Bertans, Boogie Ellis and Kosta Kondic. On the court, Dubai Basketball secured its 15th consecutive ABA League victory.

Head coach Jurica Golemac said the turnout highlighted the importance of community support, particularly among young fans. He said seeing families and children at games helps build long-term success for the club and inspires the next generation of players.

Dubai Basketball now looks ahead to one of the city’s biggest weeks, with upcoming home fixtures against European giants Olympiacos on Tuesday and Real Madrid on Thursday.
