Australia cruised to a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan in their second Twenty20 clash in Canberra.

Steve Smith's unbeaten 80 (50 balls) helped the hosts chase down 151 with nine balls to spare.

Iftikhar Ahmed (62 not out) and Babar Azam (50) had earlier fired Pakistan to a competitive total of 150-6.

The Aussies now have a 1-0 lead in the three-match series after the first game was washed out.

The third and final game will be played in Perth on Friday.
