COVID-19 testing rules for close contacts have been revised in the UAE.

According to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), close contacts must take a PCR test on the first and seventh day, or when symptoms appear.

The updated guideline comes into effect on Friday, March 25.

The move is in line with the UAE's strategy to protect public health and safety and ensure returning to normalcy.
