UAE stands in solidarity with Qatar over maritime incident

The UAE has expressed solidarity with Qatar after a shrapnel from a military operation in the region left one dead and another injured.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the victim, and to the government and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

On Sunday, Qatar Ministry of Interior said maritime search operations were carried out on Saturday night after a vessel carrying two individuals failed to return at its scheduled time.

The vessel was located in the early hours of Sunday, with one person reported dead due to shrapnel wounds and the other with wounds.
