UAE sends condolences to Egypt

The UAE has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with Egypt over the victims of the church fire in Giza Governorate, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed sympathy to the government and people of Egypt, as well as to the victims' families over the tragic accident, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

The Muslim Council of Elders, under the Chairmanship of the Grand Imam of Al Azhar His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, has also expressed its sorrow and  mourned the victims of the Abu Sefein church fire.

The Council extended its condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Episcopate, and to the Egyptian people.

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, has also sent his sympathy.
