UAE condemns continued Israeli escalation in occupied Palestinian territory

X

The UAE has joined the Arab Group and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to express its strong condemnation of the continued Israeli escalations in occupied Palestinian territory at the UN Security Council.

In a press stakeout, they denounced its settlement activity, forced displacement and repeated incursions by extremist Israeli settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of its forces.

The groups further highlighted that such actions fuel instability and undermine efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace as it aims to alter the historical, legal, and demographic character of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Arab League also warned against Israeli occupation plans and policies within Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria as it marked 59 years since the June 1967 war.

The league stressed on the need to end Israel's occupation of Palestine and other Arab territories, alongside recognising an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
