UAE citizens in Oman have been urged to return as soon as possible after the announcement of border closure by the Sultanate.

“Given the Sultanate of Oman's decision to prevent entry and exit to the Sultanate through the land, air and seaports, starting tomorrow morning, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, for a period of a week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation invites citizens wishing to return to return before closing the ports,” UAE Embassy in Muscat tweeted.

Oman has announced the closure of land, air and sea borders from December 22.
