The UAE's Ministry of Defence has announced early on Sunday that its air defence systems are actively responding to missile and drone threats approaching from Iran.

In a post on the social media platform X, the authority affirmed that the sounds heard across the country are due to the ongoing interceptions.

It urged the public to remain calm and follow the security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

It also reminded the community to avoid approaching, touching, or photographing any surrounding debris.
