SHARJAH POLICE

Sharjah Police have recovered a bag containing the life savings of an Arab resident after it was accidentally left behind in a taxi.

The resident had spent five years working and saving in the UAE and was preparing to return to his home country when the bag went missing.

Sharjah Police said officers from the Criminal Security Department launched an investigation and used CCTV footage to trace the taxi’s route, allowing them to locate and recover the bag in a short period of time.

The resident said the bag contained the savings he had accumulated during his years in the UAE and described its recovery as crucial to helping him achieve plans and goals for his family back home.

Sharjah Police said the case highlights the role of surveillance technology and rapid investigations in recovering lost property and supporting public safety.
