Motorists in Abu Dhabi have been advised to register their trailers as part of a road safety campaign, or face stiff penalties.
Taking to their official social media handle, the Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to register their trailers and ensure they meet the safety requirements.
Those caught operating unlicensed trailers will be fined AED 1,000.
Traffic teams will intensify their checks and seize unauthorised trailers and refer violators to judicial authorities.
Drivers are urged to have their trailers for a periodic review.
