Filipino expats flying into Mactan Cebu International Airport in the Philippines will no longer need to follow quarantine protocols from March 31.

That's according to the latest executive order issued by Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, which explained that "OFW (overseas Filipino worker) or returning non-OFW" will be able to move out of their "local government unit of destination" after their RT-PCR test upon arrival is negative.

"No other requirement shall be imposed," the advisory said, adding that they will only need to complete an online registration form and pre-book a hotel room to stay until their test results are released.

However, if the traveller tests positive, the government health protocols shall be followed.
