A delegation from the International Charity Organisation has headed to Kyrgyzstan to "inspect and launch" 70 initiatives to support vulnerable communities.
It's part of the organisation's Winter Frost campaign that aims to provide warmth and protection to vulnerable groups, particularly in countries where temperatures fall below zero.
The projects focus on building, maintaining and furnishing homes; providing coal and firewood for heating; renovating and heating mosques; sponsoring orphans and low-income families; and providing medical support to patients.
Secretary-General Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, who is heading the delegation, urged the public to make significant contributions to its campaigns.
The visit is the first field mission of 2026, and will be followed by 12 more visits during the year, aligned with campaigns notably during Ramadan and Eid Al Adha.
