A futuristic masterplan has been approved for the Palm Jebel Ali project in Dubai, which will be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah.
This landmark destination will have a 110 km shoreline offering extensive green spaces and a luxury beachside lifestyle.
It will also feature over 80 hotels and resorts and a wide range of entertainment and leisure facilities.
The masterplan for the new development spanning an area of 13.4 sq.km. was unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
He said the project will deliver "our vision to raise Dubai's status as a leading global city".
It's also in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33's goal to double the size of the city's economy by 2033.
