His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has honoured a host of government entities, including Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Health, for their exemplary performance.

The winners of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance (ADAEP) were unveiled at a ceremony at the ADNEC Centre.

They were recognised for their adoption of best government practices and development of innovative solutions to improve service quality.

The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) secured the first place for the Excellence Award, while Abu Dhabi Police came in second, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT) at third.

DoH was recognised for its efforts at reducing national infant mortality from 6.8 to 3.8 per 1,000 births in the last two years, while Abu Dhabi Police was picked for demonstrating a strong governance through its community-centred initiatives and reducing average emergency response times to 6.25 minutes in 2025. The DCT was honoured for its delivery of a clear and unified strategy to boost tourism’s contribution to GDP.

Sheikh Khaled highlighted that the award reflects an institutional approach that embodies the leadership’s vision of fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and positive competition.

As many as 37 entities and 103 initiatives were assessed for six awards across two tracks by more than 90 local and international experts, alongside a technical and grand jury comprising distinguished leaders from Abu Dhabi and global public and private sectors.
