The cost of humanitarian and development programmes undertaken by the Emirates Red Crescent in Yemen has reached over AED 664 million. According to national news agency WAM, the figures come from a report on the ERC’s relief operations in Yemen, as well as Kurdistan of Iraq. The largest proportion is for infrastructure in Aden and its neighbouring provinces, which accounts for almost AED 509 million. Meanwhile, projects in education accounted for over AED 81 million, healthcare for AED 74 million, and social services for AED 275 million.
