Dubai public transport records 8.2 million riders over Eid holiday

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recorded 8.2 million passengers across its public transport and shared mobility services during the Eid Al Adha holiday period, from May 25 to 29.

Dubai Metro carried the largest share, with 3.3 million riders using the Red and Green Lines.

Public buses transported 1.73 million passengers, while Dubai Tram served more than 114,000 riders.

Marine transport services recorded over 304,000 journeys during the holiday period.

Meanwhile, taxis carried 2.3 million passengers, and shared mobility options, including app-based vehicles, hourly rentals and Bus-On-Demand services, accounted for more than 402,000 trips.
