22 shops in Dubai fined for breaking COVID-19 safety rules

Inspectors from Dubai Economy have fined 22 outlets in the Emirate for violating precautionary measures that have been put in place to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Another two shops were issued a warning.

A total of 649 businesses were found complying with the rules during the latest round of inspections. 

The authority has stressed that the inspections are aimed at educating establishments about the importance of adhering to the rules, and urged residents to log violations via the Dubai Consumer app.
