Private and public schools in Abu Dhabi will shift to remote learning for the first two weeks of the second semester.

Colleges, universities and training institutes in the emirate will also do the same.

The decision was announced by Abu Dhabi's Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in coordination with the Department of Education and Knowledge.

During the first two weeks of the term, ongoing testing campaigns will increase for staff and personnel in the education sector and the situation will continue to be monitored to update protocols for the return to in-school learning.

The Committee has also urged parents and staff in all schools to receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
