Yemen's armed forces spokesperson said on Friday its warplanes carried out around 40 precision strikes targeting Houthi movements, reinforcements, gatherings, personnel, vehicles, and military equipment in Taiz province.

The strikes hit hostile targets directly and inflicted losses on Houthi personnel, equipment, and military movements, the spokesperson said in a post on X.

Early on Friday, they noted that 27 airstrikes were launched. A few hours later, the Yemeni authority's media centre shared that 13 more had targeted the group.

Areas targeted included Al Radha, Al Aqrud, Bani Bakar, Al Kudha, Jabal Nu'man, Al Ajram, and Al Marzam in Taiz Governorate.
