Opinion polls in Ukraine suggest that Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s new party could win a majority in next month’s parliamentary elections.

The former comedian became the country’s leader when he won a run-off election over incumbent president Petro Poroshenko by a landslide in April.

Upon taking office, Zelenskiy set up a new political party called Servant of the People.

According to a new survey by research group SOCIS, the group has the support of more than 51 per cent of people who said they would vote

Parliamentary elections in Ukraine will be held on July 21.
