Hong Kong's New Year fireworks have been cancelled amid security concerns.

The fireworks that are held at Victoria Harbour every year will be replaced by a multimedia light show this time.

According to the Tourism board, the ongoing anti-government protests have forced them to adopt this new format.

Tourist arrivals in island city have fallen by 56% on a year-on-year basis.
