Jordanian airspace reopens after 'comprehensive review'

AFP

Jordan has announced the reopening of its airspace to all civil aviation traffic following a "comprehensive operational and security review amid current regional developments".

The announcement on Tuesday was made by the head of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, announced on Tuesday.

This includes arrivals, departures and overflights.

The partial closure was in place since Monday evening.

Captain Al-Farajat said the decision came after an in-depth risk assessment conducted in coordination with relevant authorities.

This development restores air connectivity and flight operations over Jordan, facilitating safer and more efficient regional travel following recent disruptions and regional developments.
