Hong Kong police brace for more unrest

TENGKU BAHAR / AFP

Police in Hong Kong are bracing for another mass protest.

The demonstrations are expected to be against a controversial bill that allows extraditions to mainland China.

Hong Kong's city centre has been in lockdown since Sunday morning in anticipation for the unrest.

Security forces have shortened a route in the shopping district of Causeway Bay to Wan Chai.

They're expecting tens of thousands of people to march from Hong Kong's famous Victoria Park.
