Hong Kong activists target mainland shoppers in latest wave of protests

Hong Kong protesters are set to rally for a second day on Sunday, targetting mainland Chinese tourists in the town of Sha Tin.

The focus of the rallies has now switched from the controversial extradition bill to other issues like an influx of cross-border visitors.

Although Chief Executive Carrie Lam has said the bill is "dead", but protesters are unwilling to settle until it's formally withdrawn.

This comes a day after a demonstration against so-called "parallel traders" from China in a town near the Chinese border turned violent as protesters clashed with the police.
