Dhaka slum fire leaves 50,000 homeless

A massive fire swept through a slum in Bangladesh's capital city of Dhaka, reportedly leaving around 50,000 people homeless.

Officials said the flames spread as many homes had plastic roofs.

No deaths have been reported from the blaze so far, although several people were injured.  

An investigation into what caused the fire is currently underway.
