Egypt will host an international conference in November to outline the cost and time involved in rebuilding what was destroyed by the war in Gaza.

In a statement, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said his country will "work with the United States in coordination with partners in the coming days to lay the foundation for the reconstruction of the (Gaza) Strip, and... intend to host an early recovery, reconstruction and development conference".

Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted that the conference comes within the framework of international efforts aimed at supporting the Palestinian people and rebuilding the Gaza Strip.

He added that the conference will tackle the implementation of the Arab-Islamic plan and US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, particularly regarding Gaza’s development.
