UAE telecoms operator Etisalat announced on Wednesday that Saleh Al Abdooli has stepped down as the group’s CEO.
In a statement published on the national news agency WAM, the firm cited “personal reasons” for his resignation.
Hatem Dowidar, who is is currently the CEO International of Etisalat, has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer for the Group.
"Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Etisalat Group, and the members of the board directors thanked Al Abdooli for the efforts he made and the accomplishments achieved for Etisalat Group during his tenure as Group CEO and his 28 years of service to the company," the statement added.
