A gymnasium located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai has been closed down for violating regulations put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.

A video shared on social media advertised some of its classes on offer, that apparently violated the current legislations in place.

Officials from Dubai Economy's commercial compliance and consumer protection department investigated the contents of the video and summoned the gymnasium’s management before taking the decision to close it done.

Dubai Economy is urging residents to report practices that could potentially contribute to the spread of COVID-19.

Residents can do so on its App, on the website or by calling 600 545 555.
