A dust storm warning has been issued by the UAE National Centre of Meteorology, with waves expected to rise up to 1.8 metres at sea.

A yellow alert is in place until 8:00 pm this evening, especially in exposed areas of the UAE.

This means people must be vigilant if they're engaged in outdoor activities.

Winds of up to 50 kilometres an hour are forecast, blowing dust and reducing visibility.
