Vital sectors clarified: warehousing, deliveries and building supply

Dubai’s Department of Economic Development says warehouses & delivery services that support the e-commerce sector are exempt from seeking ‘move permits’.

Companies in these categories, as well as building suppliers and contractors can remain open, but are not to receive any customers.

They should have no more than 30 per cent of their employee headcount at work and must take all the usual precautions with sanitising and social distancing.

While commuting to and from work, vital sector employees also need to carry a letter from their employer to prove the nature of their work and must show it if stopped by Dubai Police.
