Abu Dhabi toll gates: Another extension for unregistered vehicles

If you still haven't registered your vehicle for the newly active toll gate system in the capital, don't worry, there's a three month grace period to give you more time.

Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre took to twitter, saying no penalty fares will apply if you cross the gates without registering.

It comes after they went active on January 2nd.

Cars are registered in the capital will automatically be put into the system.

The gates will be active Saturday to Thursday and cost AED 4 to cross, but only during rush hour; 7:00 am-9:00 am and 5:00 pm-7:00 pm.

The maximum charge per day has been capped at AED 16 and AED 200 per month.

The four toll gates are located at Sheikh Zayed, Maqta, Mussaffah and Sheikh Khalifa bridges.
